About artist: Kontorno is a creative duo based in Drogheda, Ireland. Our designs are digitally created which is a great way for us to try new ideas and play around with colours! With Kontorno, we want people to see the beauty and positivity in their everyday lives! In 2013, we went to Brazil and lived for 3 years in São Paulo. We believe that it was during that time that we decided to begin something creative in our new lives! We were inspired by the various different styles of street art which gives the city a lot of its unique character and personality. Those artworks inspired us to create our own art style. Since then, we have been improving our skills and found a purpose: to create artwork that helps people to admire from the surroundings of everyday life. In 2019, we took drawing more seriously and started experimenting with street art and paste-ups and when we created Kontorno. Our art and style are influenced by graffiti and street art. Travelling to new places, listening to music and film inspires the art we create. It has been our goal to create a positive impact in the world through our art.
