About artist: I am a visual artist working in painting and printmaking. I have a Fine Art Degree from Kingston College of Art and a PGCE from the City of Birmingham University. My work is inspired by nature, with drawing, colour and expressive mark making being key elements. I'm expressing my experience of being alive in the world , especially whilst being surrounded by nature. I work mostly in acrylics, oils, mixed media collage and Lithography printmaking. I am a member of Cork Printmakers.
About artwork: This painting was made during our very wet rainy summer. The surrounding landscape where I live is the inspiration. It's a mixture of observation, memory and imagination.
