About artist: Over the years, O'Sullivan has exhibited works extensively throughout Ireland and abroad. In 2019 she graduated from the National College of Art & Design with an honours degree in Fine Art Print. Upon graduating she received The Graphic Studio Dublin - Graduate Award 2019, and The Black Church Print Studio - Runner Up Graduate Award 2019. She received The Art Council Agility Award 2024. Her work has been exhibited widely in Ireland and internationally Inc. Irish Museum of Modern Art (IRL), Royal Hibernian Academy (IRL), Royal Ulster Academy (UK), Graphic Studio Gallery (IRL), Hang Tough Contemporary (IRL), Mason Hayes & Curran (IRL), Copper House Gallery (IRL), The MART Gallery (IRL), NIVAL (IRL), Herman’s Auctioneers, SCOOP Art Auction (IRL), Outhouse Art Auction (IRL), Art Riddler 2023 & 2024 (IRL), Outset Gallery (IRL), Blue House Gallery (IRL), The Model Sligo (IRL), Hyde Bridge Gallery (IRL), London Original Print Fair, (UK), Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair (UK), Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (UK), The Holy Art Gallery (UK) and International Mokuhanga Conference, (JPN). Her work is held in collections by the Office of Public Works (OPW), NIVAL (National Irish Visual Arts Library), as well corporate collections in Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Japan and Australia. She is a full time member of Graphic Studio Dublin and is currently working towards various exhibitions in 2024. Most recently she was selected for the Mason Hayes & Curran Print Commission 2024 in collaboration with Graphic Studio Dublin. She is supported by the Arts Council.
About artwork: Helen O’Sullivan (born 1995) is an artist from Wicklow, Ireland, now living in Dublin. She holds a BA Hons in Fine Art Print from the National College of Art & Design (IRL) and is a member of Graphic Studio Dublin, where her practice focuses on printmaking. O’Sullivan’s work is deeply influenced by the vastness of nature and her surrounding environment, as well as Minimalism and Colour Field Art. She uses the interaction of colour to evoke the expansive power of the natural world. Through simple and reductive means, O’Sullivans works evokes a quiet serenity and meditative response, encouraging viewers to slow down, clear their minds, and fully immerse themselves in the present moment.
