About artist: Ria Czerniak-LeBov is printmaker and writer from Dublin. After completing her BA Joint Hons in Fine Art Print and History of Art from NCAD in 2016, Ria received the Graphic Studio Graduate Award. She has been a full-time member of Graphic Studio Dublin ever since, working predominantly in etching and aquatint. Her prints explore memory, the built environment and the ways in which we document the urban lived experience. Her etchings have been exhibited at RHA, Royal Ulster Academy, National Botanic Gardens, OPW and Trinity College Dublin. She recently completed MA Art in the Contemporary World at NCAD, where she is currently a part-time lecturer.
About artwork: Glimpsing the Tropics draws inspiration from Turner's curvilinear glasshouses at the National Botanic Gardens, combining interior and exterior views to create an otherworldly architectural dreamscape.
