About artist: Shearers work is a visual exploration of the profound themes that shape our human experience. Drawing inspiration from her love of literature, poetry, music and nature, she infuses her paintings with both the abstract and sometimes elements of representation. Central to the work is the theme of change—of metamorphosis, death, mental and spiritual awakening. Through the interplay of light and shadow, colour and form, she explores the cyclical nature of existence, contemplating the fleeting beauty and inherent impermanence of life.
