Sarah Bracken Soper is an artist, designer, educator, mother and activist based in Dublin, Ireland. In her art practice Sarah works in embroidery, print, animation, street art, zines, installations and sculpture. Sarah has been a big contributor to the Irish arts scene, alongside her own work, she founded and ran the Dublin Zine Fair for 5 years and worked behind the scenes in various art centres in Dublin before completing her masters in art and design education. Now Sarah shares her love of art and design with her students in her role as graphic design lecturer. This year alone her embroidered portrait of activist Ailbhe Smyth was highly commended by the National Gallery of Ireland, her Zoetrope sculpture was enjoyed by hundreds of visitors to the Botanic Gardens, her stamp design made the short list for An Post's Saorstat Eireann competition and her mural of Christy Brown in Crumlin was championed by locals. Sarah always has several projects on the go and can be found working hard from her home studio.
