Description:: Niall works from his studio in Stamullen, Co. Meath close to the heart of the historic Boyne Valley on the east coast of Ireland. Niall see’s his studio as that ‘special place’ where he can ‘let loose’ and where the ‘creative juices flow’. Niall has been exhibiting since the mid 1990’s, but since 2012 he has been dedicating significant time to painting and creating in his studio. Having initially established a strong reputation for his ‘small squares’, Niall’s creativity is kept fresh by continuously looking to bring new dimensions to my work. His more recent 'stripe paintings’, his ‘Infinity Series’ using lights and mirrors and his recent ‘Positivity Glasshouses’, serve as good examples of how Niall likes to keep an edge to his work. In talking about his work Niall says ‘I am driven to create art that is modern and visually impactful, yet at the same time speaks directly to the core inspiration of my work - positivity ...!! In his paintings and creations, Niall aims to capture the different elements that go to create positive and transformative moments in our lives. He enjoys capturing the intensity and purity of colour in his work, reflecting the importance of appreciating of each ingredient that goes to make up really great moments. Over the last few years Niall’s art has featured in international shows in major cities around the world including Milan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Stockholm, Edinburgh, a number of times in London, twice in New York City and has exhibited at the prestigious SOFA exhibition in Chicago.
