Description
About artist: Ria Czerniak-LeBov is an artist from Dublin and full time member of Graphic Studio Dublin. Ria’s practice is an exploration of the relationship between old and new technologies. Her etchings and aquatints reference the glitches, static and fractured perspectives found in everyday devices, the ways in which we have become accustomed to seeing the world. Her work has been shown at RHA, RUA, Trinity College Dublin, National Botanic Gardens, ImPRESSions Biennale and SO Fine Art Editions.
About artwork: This print was created for an exhibition on the theme of 'home', which raised funds for Simon Community last year. Featuring the remains of a derelict building on Cork St, it is a stark reminder of Ireland's housing crisis and its effect on the very nature of home.
