About artist: I'm an Irish visual artist based in Cork city. I work in charcoal, watercolour, and oils on paper and canvas. I'm very interested in embodiment, from the perspective of sensation, knowledge, being in the world, connection, and ephemerality. In my work, I emphasis embodiment through theme, gestural brushwork and an openess to the mediums' characteristic qualities.
About artwork: This is a semi abstract oil painting on canvas, inspired by Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, particularly the line "Make me immortal with a kiss".
