About artist: I live by the coast in the North West of Ireland. I’m self taught and my work has shifted towards abstraction in recent years but remains influenced by the wildness of my environs, sea, sky and shore. I never know where a particular painting may take me and always excited by the process and arriving at a resolution. I marvel more when it resonates with a viewer. Thankyou.
About artwork: This piece started off as one of several small monotypes using acrylic paint. Collaged tissue was added then layers of oil with cold wax plus pigment powder and charcoal for added texture.
