About artist: Helen Fahey is a painter of nature based in Galway. With the Wild Atlantic on her doorstep, she is not short of inspiration. Many of her paintings challenge the status quo of landscape painting, by reimagining the colour scheme we are left with some vibrant representations of our beautiful landscape. Painted during a period of change in my life, I chose to reenvisage the colours of the landscape, to go against the status quo to achieve my desired result. It's a painting about positive change and hope for the future.
