About artist: I am a creative that enjoys many mediums such as oils and I love creating jewellery and fashion pieces.
About artwork: This encaustic piece took multiple attempts to capture the dreamy abstract landscape I could see in my mindseye. Encaustic is a beautifully vibrant textured medium. This pieces has a smooth shiny finish. I wanted the piece to hold the onlooker while also encouraging the mind to then wander. Encaustic is very tricky to photograph and I will leave the piece in Outhouse before the auction so it can be viewed also. It is one of my favourite pieces and i hope it captures your imagination it has mine. As Encaustic needs air as it is a pigmented beeswax please do not put glass over it. I have framed the piece. It will need a small amount of after care. once or twice a year it may need to be puffed, polished gently to bring the shine back. Use a piece of polyester cloth ot an old pair of nude tights and it will be bright and shiny again
