About artist: Ria Czerniak-LeBov is an artist and full time member of Graphic Studio Dublin. Ria’s practice is an exploration of the relationship between old and new technologies. Her prints reference the glitches, static and fractured perspectives found in everyday devices, the ways in which we have become accustomed to seeing the world around us. Her work has been shown at RHA, RUA, Trinity College Dublin, Impressions Print Biennale, National Botanic Gardens and SO Fine Art Editions.
About artwork: This etching is part of a recent series of prints in which familiar architectural structures were heavily manipulated using an array of Apps and digital image making software, before being hand drawn and printed. Outlier features a digital extrusion, depicted in aquatint to create an uncanny urban island floating in the abyss.
