About artist: MARY A. FITZGERALD Biography Mary A. Fitzgerald was born in Dublin where she lives and works. She studied Fine Art both at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology and The National College of Art and Design where she received an honors degree in Fine Art in 1989 and a Master of Fine Art in 2004. Fitzgerald has been awarded both an Agility Award and Visual Arts Bursary, from The Arts Council of Ireland. She is a member Black Church Print Studio. Residency awards include, Clo Ceardlann, Donegal, Independent Studio Artists, Dublin and The Heinrich Boll Artists Residency. She is a lecturer in First Year Art & Design and Fine Art Print at NCAD. She has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally and her work is included in many public and private collections including OPW, UCD, Trinity College Dublin, AIB, Microsoft Ireland, and Axa Insurance. Recent exhibitions include Grafik från Irland, Galleri Helle Knudsen, Sweden, RHA Annual, Cairde Visual, The Model, Sligo and Artworks, Visual Carlow. She is currently showing prints in MiniMaxi Print International Exhibition at Galleri Heike Arndt DK Berlin. Her solo Show of paintings ‘Swoon’ was shown at the Olivier Cornet Gallery, in May2022.
