About artist: Andrew Folan studied at NCAD Dublin and the Slade School, University College London. He holds degrees in Fine Art, Print & Photography and a PhD in Media. He is a member of the Royal Hibernian Academy. His work is in the collections of IMMA, University College Dublin, Department of the Taoiseach and Central Bank of Ireland.
About artwork: Exploring themes of what is seen, what is felt and what is understood, this etching takes the conception of 'The Emperor's Wardrobe' as its inspiration. Light projected through a glass bowl provides the substance for a 'Mass Ornament' dancer's cloak.
