About artwork: The artwork is a drawing in mixed media using pen, ink, watercolour and is inspired by a drawing the artist completed in Lockdown. The Chair and the artists's favourite cushion were drawn at home where the artist was based during lockdown. The home, a sanctuary was now filled with office files as everyone worked there. The artist used normal everyday objects as sources of inspiration while enduring the sense of being hemmed in and cut off from people which lockdown caused. The drawing is on arches paper and is framed in an off white frame with a very pale inner blue mount to complement the colours of the work.
