About artist: Andrew Folan studied at NCAD Dublin and the Slade School, University College London. He holds degrees in Fine Art, Print & Photography and a PhD in Media.
He is a member of the Royal Hibernian Academy. His work is in the collections of IMMA, University College Dublin, Department of the Taoiseach and Central Bank of Ireland.
About artwork: The Skycatcher series was inspired by my long term fascination with celestial phenomena and the transformation of carbon into diamond.
