About artist: Helena Gorey's home and studio are situated in pastoral landscape with a view to an almost perfect horizon line, close to where she grew up in rural Ireland. She has won a number of painting awards and is represented in major public collections in Ireland including The Irish Museum of Modern Art. Earlier this year she was invited to take part in Poetry Ireland's 'Poetry Encounter Series' with poet Tara Bergin in collaboration with the Butler Gallery 80th Anniversary celebrations. Her most recent solo exhibition was 'Understory' at the Highlanes Gallery and she is currently exhibiting in 'Matters of the Heart' with Deirdre Mcloughlin at Taste Contemporary in Geneva
