Description
About artist: Shea Dalton is a practicing artist based in Dublin. He received his Masters in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design. He was awarded the Visual Artist Bursary from the Irish Arts council. His work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in the Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland, Canada and Ireland including the Hang Tough Gallery, Dublin and a solo show at the Ashford Gallery, the RHA. His paintings are held in both public and private collections.
About artwork: "Slipped Away" 2021 is an oil on linen, abstract painting. In this work I wanted to impart a feeling of transition or something slipping or moving. The painting is based on a small gouache drawing, which came from the play of light on the surface of the sea, that I made when I lived in Iceland.
