About artist: Helen O'Sullivan is an artist residing and working in Dublin originating from Wicklow, Ireland. She is a member of Graphic Studio Dublin where her practice primarily focuses on printmaking, but also explores other paper based mediums. O'Sullivan’s work is almost exclusively expressed through linear forms and explores colour interaction, drawing inspiration from nature and our environment. Her work is renowned for her intricate and meditative compositions. She strives to create balanced compositions by playing with sequence, mirroring and dualities in order to portray a sense of calm and harmony. Over the years, O'Sullivan has exhibited works extensively throughout Ireland and abroad. In 2019 she graduated from the National College of Art & Design with an honours degree in Fine Art Print and Visual Culture. Upon graduating she received The Graphic Studio Dublin - Graduate Award 2019, and The Black Church Print Studio - Runner Up Graduate Award 2019. Her work has been exhibited widely in Ireland and internationally Inc. Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hibernian Academy, Graphic Studio Gallery, Hang Tough Contemporary, Mason Hayes and Curran, Copper House Gallery, The MART Gallery, NIVAL, SCOOP Art Auction, Outhouse Art Auction, Outset Gallery, Blue House Gallery, The Model Sligo, Hyde Bridge Gallery, London Original Print Fair, (Somerset House), The Holy Art Gallery (London) and International Mokuhanga Conference, (Kyoto, Japan). Her work is held in collections by the Office of Public Works (OPW), and in private and corporate collections in Ireland, UK and USA. She is a full time member of Graphic Studio Dublin and is currently working towards various exhibitions in 2023.
