About artist: Cashel O’Toole is an Irish intuitive artist, currently based in Carlow. She specialises in creating vibrant & uplifting pieces of artwork full of movement, texture, & detail. As a multidisciplinary artist, Cashel enjoys experimenting with a variety of mediums to make artwork that soothes the soul & brings joy to the heart. Her primary focus is painting using acrylic & ink on canvas; however, she also works with her paintings & photography to make digital designs, some of which have been made into a wearable art collection of silk scarves. Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, along with her own personal journey of self-discovery, Cashel’s latest collection of works uses a paint brush technique that focuses on emphasising each individual brush stroke, creating semi-abstract expressionist pieces that exude energy & emotion. As a self-taught artist, her creative journey has always been about self-expression & creating intuitively from the heart. To Cashel, it has been like her first ‘language’ for as far back as she can recall. Intuitively Inspired Art was founded in October 2017 after a profound time of healing & self-discovery. Cashel’s work has been exhibited in group exhibitions across Ireland, including Art Riddler, Gallery Eleven, Five Lamps Arts Festival, Hambly & Hambly at Dunbar House, & Pluid Project. Her artwork is included in private collections in Ireland, Spain, & the USA.
About artwork: In “Shine Your Light”, I delve into a vivid exploration of self. This piece is a celebration of the internal fire that fuels our passion & the light that shines when we embrace our true, authentic selves. The inspiration behind this painting stems from my personal journey of self-discovery. Through the vibrant hues & bold stokes, I attempt to capture the essence of that singular moment when one breaks free from societal expectations to fully embrace their true self. Utilising a paint brush technique, I’ve endeavoured to create a rich texture that adds depth and dimension to the canvas, allowing the viewer to almost feel the energy radiating from within.
